Clinical Specialist Physiotherapist in Neurology
Colin is the founder and Co-director of Domaille Neurophysio.
He qualified from the Queen Elizabeth School of Physiotherapy,
Birmingham in 1991.
Colin has specialised in neurological physiotherapy for over 20 years and has a great deal of experience in working with people with a variety of neurological conditions and complex disability.
His NHS experience includes leading a large rehabilitation team in Bristol. He also worked as an Advanced Physiotherapy practitioner in North Somerset.
Colin grew up in Bristol and has worked here since 1994. He has excellent contacts and links to local services provided by the NHS, Charity and
private sectors.
Colin teaches at undergraduate and postgraduate level and is an external examiner for the University of West of England Physiotherapy degree course.
He has obtained postgraduate qualifications at Masters level in three neurological modules.
Colin has been on the committee of the Southwest Association of Chartered physiotherapists interested in neurology (ACPIN) for over 20 years and keeps up to date with evidence based practice by regularly attending courses
and conferences.
Colin’s practice is influenced through the vast range of experience he has both utilising traditional ‘hands-on’ treatment approaches such as Bobath and Motor Re-learning and also with his extensive knowledge of advancing technologies such as Neuromuscular Electrical Stimulation and robotic devices for the
upper limb.
Colin has built up an excellent reputation through providing high quality physiotherapy intervention and communicating well with other professionals including Case Managers, solicitors and other therapists.
His treatment focus is very much on getting the best out of his clients and supporting their ability to ultimately self-manage their condition.
